A Different Approach to Weight Loss
It is an interesting thing that we only eat three times a day, but food can fill a disproportionate amount of our thoughts and time. Rather than focusing on food and dieting, start concentrating on non food related activity. Think about all the other things that you can do. Read books, exercise, enjoy art works, ride motorcycles, the list goes on. When we are engrossed it is harder to concentrate on food and dieting. When I'm reading I don't care about food, only the next page. Unfortunately the media is obsessed by weight, dieting, food to the detriment of other fascinating subjects. A great hint is to stop reading magazines about what the stars are up to. Why waste your time reading about people living a vapid and unreal lifestyle. Go to the library and get a biography of someone who you respect and be inspired. You may well find that when you stop thinking about food so much and get some other interests that your weight will drop off without worrying about it. DK
