Dhubai a brief interlude
I recently traveled through Dhubai on the way to and from the UK. I had heard about how Dhubai will be the new London. The architectural plans for the development of the city are adventurous and futuristic. The only problem is that, unlike London, Dhubai is in the middle of a desert. When I flew in at 6am it was already 38 degrees Celsius. During the day it got much hotter. Inside the cars and buildings it is fine, as the air conditioning is great, but if you venture outside, it is as hot as well, you decide what it is as hot as. The upshot is although Dhubai may become the new London, I will stick with the old one, rain, fog and all. DK |
