Emirates Airline
I recently traveled from New Zealand to Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. As Emirates Airlines flies into Newcastle I thought I would give them a try, and thus avoid flying into Heathrow. Booking
The booking process was online and easy to use. I made my booking and paid by credit card. I was sent an electronic ticket for reference purposes.
Check In
You can select a seat and check in up to 24 hours before your flight leaves. You are able to select your seat and decide on your dietary requirements. The airline caters to a large number of menu requirements including halal, diabetic, chinese, light etc. When you get to the counter at the airport you just give the staff member your check in number.
In flight
I flew economy but the seats were comfortable and had enough room. The drink and food service was excellent. In flight entertainment was comprehensive and caters to all tastes. The staff were polite and helpful and between them the cabin crew spoke at least 10 languages.
Stop Overs
On my way back from Newcastle my stop over in Dhubai was greater than 8 hours so Emirates put me up in a hotel overnight free of charge - well done Emirates.This helped to break the trip.
Frequent Fliers Program
Emirates offers a comprehensive frequent fliers program that is free to join. The air miles given are very generous.
Recommendation
I will definitely use Emirates for my next flight to the UK. |
