Experiencing Life By Grant Goodman One of the secrets for a long and satisfying life, is to be engaged fully with your surroundings. Everywhere we go we have the opporunity of learning and experiencing new things, feelings and thoughts. One of my friend's has a five year old daughter who is an inveterate collector. Everywhere she goes she picks up things of interest. Her pockets contain a plethora of screws, old nails, leaves, acorns, stones and other miscellaneous objects. Each treasure obtained brings forth a stream of questions: Why? what? when? where? Her interest in life energises me to be the same, only my pockets are in my brain and memory. I love to travel, eat new foods, taste new beer and wine, visit new places and interact with people from different cultures and sub cultures. These new experiences and sensations help to build new synapses and connections in the brain. Now is the time to live, now is the time to learn, let go and open up!
