Kafesas Taverna - Corfu Kafesas - the Taverna from Heaven If you are in Corfu and drop down to Argyrades or Agios Georgios (South) then a visit to Aki and Min's taverna, Kafesas is a must do. The menu is made up of Corfiot food and all the ingredients are local and fresh. The menu covers all the Greek favorites plus more. My favorites were the Yetses, Souvlaki, Fried Anchovies and the divine Moussaka. Aki is Corfu born and bred and Min his partner comes from lovely New Zealand (and speaks fluent Greek as well as beautiful English). The staff are friendly and helpful and the Mezes are to die for. So if you are in Corfu try this taverna out - you will not be disappointed. The clientele is made up of locals (always a good sign) and adventurous tourists.
