The Best Introduction to London If you are new to London there is no better way to get an idea of the city than by catching an open top double decker bus. These vehicles can be found all over London and you can buy a one or two day pass. The routes cover the City of London, the one square mile area that was the original city. You can hop on and off the bus at points of interest and then catch the next one through. There is a guide on each bus who gives a very lively, and informative talk about points of history and interest around the city. If English is not your first language you can use headphones that have other languages such as French and German. I loved getting a quick overview of the location of places that I wanted to visit. I was there in Summer, and the open deck was great for visibility, it may not be so nice on a crisp Winters day. Enjoy. DK
