The Leonard Woolf Biography By Grant Goodman I am an avid reader and a lover of the books of Virginia Woolf. Her husband, Leonard, was her biggest supporter but the feminist view of him in academic literary circles is that he exploited their relationship to his own benefit. This biography of Leonard Woolf by Victoria Glendinning, the notable biographer, resurrects him as Virginias soul mate and strongest supporter. It is a well written book and makes for an interesting and engaging read. I have a new respect for Leonard Woolf and thanks to his support of Virginia Woolf through a long, loving but sometimes troubled life we now have the canon of her works. Leonard was also an accomplished writer and editor in his own right. This is a must read for those who appreciate the writings of Virginia Woolf (my all time favorite is Mrs Dalloway).
